The short version
This site doesn't set tracking cookies. Our analytics are cookieless. The only cookies you may encounter come from the optional "Ask i-Clarity" chat assistant, provided by GPTMate, and only once you interact with it. That's why you don't see a cookie banner — there's nothing to consent to until you choose to open the chat.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which store data in your browser without sending it to a server on every request. UK law (PECR, alongside UK GDPR) says we must tell you about them and get consent for any that aren't strictly necessary.
What this site uses
| Name / type | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
ic-intro-seensession storage | i-Clarity (this site) | Remembers you've seen the homepage intro animation so it doesn't replay every visit in the same tab. | Until you close the tab | Strictly necessary / functional |
ic-chat-nudge-donesession storage | i-Clarity (this site) | Remembers you've dismissed or opened the chat prompt on the FAQ page so it doesn't reappear. | Until you close the tab | Strictly necessary / functional |
| Vercel Web Analytics & Speed Insights | Vercel | Anonymous page views, referrers, device type, performance timings and a few anonymous interaction events. Sets no cookies and doesn't identify you. | n/a — cookieless | Analytics (no consent required — no cookies, no personal data) |
| GPTMate chat cookies | GPTMate (third party) | Runs the "Ask i-Clarity" chat assistant — keeps your conversation together and the widget working. | Set by GPTMate; see their policy | Functional — set only when you use the chat |
Session storage items are not cookies: they never leave your browser, aren't sent to us or anyone else, and vanish when the tab closes. We list them here for completeness.
The chat assistant
The "Ask i-Clarity" assistant is provided by GPTMate. Its launcher loads on every page, but it doesn't set cookies or send anything until you open it and type. When you do, your messages go to GPTMate to generate a reply, and GPTMate may set cookies to maintain the conversation. If you'd rather not, simply don't open the chat — every other route to us (the contact form, a discovery call) works without it.
Your choices
- Don't open the chat and no third-party cookies are set at all.
- Browser settings — every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data. Blocking everything won't break this site, though the chat assistant won't work.
- Clear session storage — closing the tab does it; or use your browser's "clear site data" for this domain.
Changes
If we add anything that sets cookies — for example, a different analytics tool or an embedded video — we'll update this table first and, where consent is required, ask for it before setting anything.
